Privacy Policy
Rizu respects your privacy.
Rizu is designed to be simple, gentle, and respectful by default. The app does not collect, sell, or share personal data.
Data collection
Rizu does not collect personal information. The app does not use analytics, tracking tools, or advertising. Rizu does not require you to create an account or log in.
Your data
Information created within Rizu (such as tasks, history, and preferences) is stored on your device and synced using Apple’s iCloud services. Rizu does not operate its own servers and does not directly access or process your personal data outside of what is provided by Apple through iCloud.
You can remove all app data at any time by deleting the app or disabling iCloud for Rizu in your device settings.
iCloud
Rizu uses Apple’s iCloud to automatically sync your app data between devices signed in to your Apple ID. This sync is handled entirely by Apple.
Rizu does not have access to your Apple ID, iCloud account details, or data stored outside the app’s own iCloud container. iCloud usage is subject to Apple’s Privacy Policy.
In-App Purchases
Rizu offers optional in-app purchases using Apple’s StoreKit system. Purchases are processed entirely by Apple.
Rizu does not receive or store payment information such as credit card numbers or billing details. Purchase status is used only to unlock features within the app.
On-device intelligence (Insights)
Rizu includes a “Smart insights” feature that can add a short, gentle reflection on your rhythm and sense the tone of notes you write. It is on by default and can be turned off at any time in Settings.
Smart insights uses Apple’s on-device intelligence, including Apple Intelligence on supported devices. The analysis and the reflection are generated locally on your device and are never sent to Rizu or to any third-party AI service. Your underlying app data (such as notes and history) syncs only through your own iCloud, as described above. If your device doesn’t support the feature, it is simply unavailable and the rest of Insights continues to work.
Third-party services
Rizu does not use third-party services that collect user data. The app does not use cookies, tracking technologies, or advertising identifiers.
